Lawrt I might have to move to San Francisco because this is the best gluten free pizza in the land. I'm from the the NY/NJ area and I've missed good pizza since I started getting sick from gluten and wheat. I was skeptical but it's amazing. Even my non-GF boyfriend tasted it and thought it was pretty good.

My friends and I came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant has two sides where you can have seated service or you can order at the counter. We opted for seated service. Food: We ordered garlic knots for the table. They were good, but there was a slight burnt taste to them. I would still order them again. Everyone ordered their own slice(s) for dinner. I wish more places served by the slice. I got the Choppin Broccoli, which is a white pizza with broccoli on it. It was pretty tasty, and I would order it again. Service: Service was a little slow but not excruciatingly so. Our server was nice, and the busser came by often to clear out plates and such. TL;DR - pizza by the slice w/ friendly service

We were in the city for what my wife called a "lemon trip." We were dealt lemons of bad weather at home and didn't want to be inside all weekend so we made lemonade by coming to the city for a night. This place was close go the hotel and looked good. We made a great decision! The inside has a New York pizzeria theme with posters, pictures, and paintings highlighting that city. I thought the theme was done really well and the space didn't feel cramped or overloaded with decor. You order at the counter and seat yourself which is totally appropriate for a place like this. The service was great. Both employees had the confidence that comes with knowing your job, they gave good recommendations, and brought our slices to us. They made us feel welcome which is an area that some restaurants in the city fail at. The inside is cool and the service is good, but the pizza is even better! I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Italian sausage with peppers. The slices are good size and topped generously. The crust is thin, but has a perfect crunch that adds texture to the incredible flavors. Sorry, not sorry, but if you need to fold or eat your pizza with two hands then it is not good pizza. The only gripe I have is that their pints of beer don't come in pint glasses. They might have been 16oz, but you can't tell because the glasses are not traditional pint glasses. This pizza needed no folding or holding and was absolutely delicious.

I'd been having just a major craving for pizza the last few weeks and Empire Pizza really hit the spot. The honey and I walked down from the hotel and ended up sharing a couple slices between us. My favorite was the pepperoni, but the meatball was a solid second. The service was friendly and quick, and he brought out the slices to us when they were heated and ready to eat. The outside seating was heated, so it was lovely to sit down and nom on the slices while we enjoyed the fresh air. All in all, Empire Pizza? Definitely 5 stars.

Good NY style slices in San Francisco are hard to find and this has some delicious slices. The ambience is fun and spacious. They have square slices but I like traditional New York thin slice. The staff do have some of that NY attitude. Must try if you are craving some close to NYC type pizza.

Walking the streets of San Francisco, waiting for our hotel to be ready, we changed upon Empire Pizza before they closed for the afternoon. They've only been open since 8/10/22 so they're still getting the kinks out, but their pizza game is ON point! We had a slice of pepperoni and a can of coke each and were happily satisfied with our meal. The slices were large, foldable and crisp! The pepperoni were the tiny ones which are so good! Their sauce was so tasty! Yeah we were happy. Some one below complained about the prices, apparently they've forgotten that it's 2022, and the price of things has gone up. That's life. You deal.with that as you do. We didn't have a problem and our service person, Brian was awesome! While I'm here, I'll come back for sure!

Taking over the old Delfina space this place did away with whole pies cooked to order and instead are offering quick slices heated to order. Pretty limited selection, but what I tried was tasty. Only thing is that $5.25+tax feels a bit pricey for a cheese slice, at least compared to what you pay in New York. Plain Slice: This is a solid slice. Crispy bottom so it doesn't flop when you hold it by the curst. Ample amount of tomato sauce which had a nice umami kick. A decent amount of mozzarella that was gooey and lightly browned. Really reminded me of good NY slice, except for a few overcooked and blackened basil leaves. Pepperoni Square: Really good for a square pizza. Loads and loads of sauce, which is honestly my favorite part. And all the sauce stands up nicely to the thick dough. Plus a little spicy kick in the sauce. And so many pepperonis that it looked like a checkers board. Plus each pepperoni cupped up nicely so it got crispy edges. I think I like this more than the regular slice.
